Seo Hye Lee is a South Korean artist based in the Somerset countryside. Working with sound, illustration, and installation, her work investigates ideas of communication, connection, and her experience of the world as a deaf individual.
Presentations of her work include Artist Self-Publishers’ Fair (2020), Grundy Art Gallery (2020), School of Art Institute Chicago (2019), London College of Communication (2019), Jip + Olympia (2020), Tate Exchange (2019) and Tanzhaus NRW (2019).
In May 2021, Seo Hye was commissioned to create a zine for the East London Comic Arts Festival (ELCAF) titled “And The Space Between Us Continues To Grow”. In this, Seo Hye created illustrations exploring the subtle similarities between humans and animals in the natural world where instinct, movement, and body language form their own narratives.
Seo Hye graduated from MA Visual Communication at The Royal College of Art in 2017.
